Learn a new language?

I just want to learn the basics of a new language .. Not sure which one.. (VERY silly don't you think?) I just want some sites that are free and have good "how-to" tutorials on how to speak the basics...
When I find the language I like I will pursue it, but not really sure what I want yet...

I don't want something like Spanish or French..Latin would be nice, I will look into it.
Any other suggestions?
(I would say that I want something easy to learn, but then why would I bother learning a new language in the first place? LOL)

Languages are cool they are a great way to meet really interesting people from different back grounds other than your own. Not to mention you can use them in a pick up line LOL
BTW english also has roots in latin.

I took 2 yrs. of Spanish from 9-10th grade. But not practicing it has made me forget all but the simplest words. Oh well, I already speak 2 languages fluently. And that's 'nuff for me.

I was going to suggest ASL (American Sign Language), but Edoras beat me to it. So I'll back up his recommendation. I've been learning ASL for about 6 months now, and it's been a blast! It's not too difficult to pick up, and it's enjoyable to "speak." I have several friends who are deaf, so that's a big reason why it's so fun.

You got me curious! If you don't mind my asking, what language besides English do you speak fluently?
