What a classy couple.
Talk about a couple of LOSERS!!!
Wifey gets tossed for screaming obscenities and hubby gets arrested for assaulting the ref. Their kid must be so proud.
Let's hope the kid turns out better.

I'm sure they're just showing their support for the team.

As an ex hockey referee, I take such incidents quite seriously. Some of the parents of the under 8 and under 10 year old leagues are some of the worst sports in the world. I've been cursed at, spit at, given the bird, all at 10 and under games. I usually stop the game there and get the rink management to deal with the offending parent.
The kids themselves at that age are the sweetest things in the world though. Unfortunately, they often start imitating their parents as they get older.
Granted, such incidents are quite rare, (only 6-7 to me personally in 4 years of officiating) and I've never had a repeat parent. Once they realize that they are ruining their and other parent's kids' fun, they calm down quite dramatically.

Officials say the rivalry between suburban Deer Lakes and Hampton high schools prompted administrators to allow only parents and grandparents to attend the game.
| hmm that's ridiculous. A high school sports game, and only the parents and grandparents can go? Clearly that was a logical choice. |

shows some deep things about America though, really. Total disrespect for authority....self centerdness, etc. I was walking one day at this large sports area/walking track ...they had a baseball game going, probably 11-12 year olds..anyway I suppose they had lots of incidents because they had a sign up for each "side's" bleachers saying it was a game for kids, let the kids play it, dont yell at umpires etc etc. Seriously, to get right down to it, even to yell "come on blue!!" at the ref on EVERY call...isnt that really saying something?

With my 18 year old I went through Little League, Pony, and High School baseball.
My 13 year old decided after Little League not to go any further.
Thank You Jesus!!!!!!!
The parents are out of hand more than a lot.
You can get punched out for merely saying "Aw man he could have caught that ball." (not knowing the kid's dad was sitting next to you)
It got to the point where I would watch the games about 30 yards away from everyone.

It's stories like this that are "attention-grabbers" and that's why they make the headlines more often than anything good that can come out of America. If you read these kinds of stories long enough or listen to some of the yahoos here who's only purpose in life is to scour the web looking for more Anti-America bashing stories and you'll start to believe things like the above quote.
Hey look!....I guess all French people are mean-spirited and treat pregnant women like this... French Woman Shackled While giving Birth
I personally think America is a heck of a better place than a lot of people give credit for around here.

Aye, TC, it is, but british and american and generally western media in general only report bad things... you think we all speak well posh, drink tea and eat crumpets (well... the crumpets thing is true, but try them, they are proper nice!), and we all have really bad teeth, none of it is true, only the upper classes have those traits.
