If you don't want to hear me whine..Don't read..

/rant on
I am not a fan of the lakers (So shoot me! ) I am a fan of the 76ers, but what Shaq really did was VERY bad. I am glad he got suspended for what he did and I hope he is suspended and fined.
Someone that big is going to be fouled and someone that big shouldn't throw punches at all, but he threw a punch at the BACK of Miller's head I believe, WTF is a 7 foot something monster hitting people from behind for?
It's like he doesn't get away with a lot of fouls during the game..
/rant off
No matter WHO the player is, if they do something stupid and silly like Shaq did they should get the same penalty.

make an example of the @$$hole and bench him for at least five games, like they did to camby last year.

make sure they understand exactly what happens when you behave like that in the nba...

that kind of behavior is totally UNACCEPTABLE.

Yes, he's a big target .. Hard to miss but he fouls people a lot also. Look at NBA finals last year, him vs. Mutumbo..They both were hacking each other..
Can't blame them though because both of them are monsters but I think Shaq has the body mass difference..

As a Bulls fan (yeah, I know they su*k) I find it interesting that Jackson is complaining about the same treatment that HIS Bulls used to give Shaq...how ironic. Shaq should get suspended (what do you think would have happened to Rodman if HE did that?). On the other hand, aren't the Ref's supposed to control the hard fouls? If they did their job, Shaq wouldn't have gotten so frustrated. Just my opinion.

ok i have to chime in on this...

what shaq did was wrong,he shouldnt have thrown a punch, but all of you guys who are bad mouthing him, did you guys see the whole game? or did you just see the replay of the incident?

because if you saw the whole game, which I did on because "the lakers play on KCAL 9!"
well neeways, the bulls were hammering away on shaq, more than usual and the refs werent getting in there and make sure things calmed down, there were couple of incidents where they should have been at least a flagrant called on the bulls, one was where mercer just jumped up and came down hard on shaq... he wasnt even trying for the ball, such actions,no matter who it's enacted upon shouldn't be allowed.

shaq should have controlled his temper, but the refs have a responsbility in this too.

The blame has to be put on 3 different areas. It was 1.) The players having a fun time playing Hack-A-Shaq 2.) The refs not doing anything about everything 3.) Shaq loosing his temper (which was bound to happen sooner or later the way he was getting hit) I know Shaq is a BIG guy and you have to hit him hard to make him actually realize that he was fouled, but it got way out of hand.....IMO..

shaq is an awesome dude on and off the court. if people kept fouling me intentionally
and the refs did nonthing, i would do the same thing. what choice did shaq have, be a defenseless punching bag?
i think not!

Well I saw most of the game and saw what happened, but you have to look at the people that Shaq hack at and you don't see them going off and throwing punches, what was his suspension. Five games I believe?
