Talk Finally Got Around to it.

Finally bought a new motherboard and processor after ~3 years.
I still was running My first ddr/sdram hybrid motherboard i had.
A Asus A7a266 w/ a xp1800.

I coughed up my tax returns and bought a
abit kv8-max3
2x512 corsair ddr400
athlon 64 3000+

albeit, not the most extremely stout system on the market by any means, but a far cry faster than the old system i was bookin it with.... the new system seems to be running 100% stable.... no BSODS yet or any bad hardware conflicts of any nature...Finally got my dazzle dvc-ii working in this system... havent had it running since i had a k7v motherboard....lol

who else splurged their tax returns ?... and what came out of it all?
(i havent been one to save money too well @ all... but ive been trying)

Koz

Tax return? I pay the IRS nearly 2.5 months of my combined annual income.

Anyway, the Athlon 64 3000+ is a nice chip, especially for the price. It will probably be my next AMD upgrade as well.
