Don't worry about being new here and not knowing what to do. People here are plenty willing to help. I can't offer some direct help to you, but others here may.
What you need to do is click this link:

type in the subject and the message about your problem. A "thread" will be started in the general tech forum where everyone will be able to see it and help you.
You need to give some people specifics about your problem like what kind of computer you have and what operating system you are using (windows 98, windows XP etc)
