Misc Need to share this with you all ..

I just received a laptop here at work, It's a Pentium III 933MHz with about 384 (?) MB Ram, OS is Win2000, Im quite happy about this, Im just a lowely intern here, so it's nice when they spend money on you, they told me to stay at home last week because there weren't enough computers to go around, I thought I had been given the pink slip.

But it seems this is not the case (for now ).

Well, I just thought I would share this earth shattering bit of information with you all..

cm.

cool - I had to buy mine - then the boss asked why I had one - I answered that I got tired of using stuff that didn't work and could not be fixed - and that if he wanted me to use his stuff - stick me in as a power user - so at least I can enable my zip drive - to do your work.

I did not find out until he left - that his laptop was a p90 - and I was using a p120.

no wonder he kept sending it back to the IT guys when it could not do anything he wanted.

No - I learned to build machines and bring them to work - I don't work in the field - but I have to depend on them - we have a small place here - about 10 full time employees - so keeping things cut to th bone is ness most of the time. kinda sucks - but I have been here 17 years - so it has its benefits too.

For me it is a learning experience - Valuable!! especially when I keep getting work to upgrade others machines and sort out other problems.

And yes that is really neat to have to employer drop that in your lap - so to speak - must make you feel really great - I am so happy that you got the recognition you obviously deserve!!

Powerful specs. Congrats. And, remember, lowly interns never get a laptop. I know. So, doode, you know what you're NOT.

considering i'm just a part timer/intern here, i'm happy enough with my p3-933 desktop running win2k, as well as my own email address and phone.
