Must Learn French...Resources Needed!

Well I'm finishing my 3rd year of university in April and have begun examining potential M.A. programs to enter after I've completed my Honours B.A next year. However, a number of programs that I'm interested in enrolling in require fluency in an alternate language, either German or French.

I've chosen French as my second language to learn, however, I need resources to accomplish this. If anyone knows of any resources to help me out it would be great. I'd enroll in a course at university, but I can't take a summer course (busy making money at work) and I'd rather not use an elective next year for a second language course, if possible.

Actually, this is how one of my old college roommates learned Spanish, so don't laugh.
