Who pays the taxes?

I was just reading some tax information on rushlimbaugh.com and it seems strange to me that 50% of the people in the United States should have to pay for everything.

I guess it's great if you are in the 50% that doesn't pay, but it kind of sucks for the rest of us. How is this a fair system? Why doesn't our country have a flat tax? Why should I be increasingly punished for my increasing success?

(That last one is a hypothetical question, I plan on succeeding here in the near future)

i didnt do taxes this year because i made way under the minimum for what you need to have made to have to do anything

i wouldnt have owed anything anyway
and i didnt last year, last year i just got a nice little return check

i think flat tax would be a great idea, it seemed to work for hong kong, i am sure it would here too

I agree with that Floored! Why should people pay more, if they earn more from their own intelligence and success, it is bad.

Those aren't rush's numbers, they come directly from the IRS. And our tard democrat candidates would propose that the rich pay even more, going back to Carter-like marginal rates. Well, we all know Carter was a failure, let's go back to that.

Yep it's probably spun somehow, how stupid of me. I was just looking at the excel file. The numbers aren't that hard to interpret.

Only for the rich. The middle class pay the taxes the rich have their loop holes. $ 100, 000 deduction for a suv that weighs over 6000 lbs gvw. Of course the middle class can't buy a $100,000 suv and take it off the tax bill thereby making it free.
