skipping junior year

I was planning to essentially skip my senior year and attend my freshmen year of college (called dual enrollment, or early entry).

I have seen many complications, i can not attend certain schools becaus eyou need to be graduated, and certain schools do not have this program. Also, i would not be elligible for any finacial aid, and scholarships are limited (for example i get half instead of full)

I have a solution though.. if I skipped my junior year of high school, i would graduate a senior, and then be elligible to goto any college, and for finnacial aid.

What are your thoughs on this? Anybody done it?

What's the rush?

If you study hard enough, it can be done. Talk to counselors at your high school and they should be able to help you out.

Dual enrollment is really fun, actually. I am sure that you'd enjoy it. (I know that it was a blast, for me)!

Ditto what Warthog said.

Is there academic reasoning behind what you want to do? Or is it just something you think would be fun?

my school is not serving me. i am doing the same things i did in 8th and last year.

even somethings from 6th and 7th grades. becasue we are a regional school we cant just go, we have to make sure everybody is up to where we are..

so im trying to serve myself, and not waste time. im not the popular partier so leaving a year early isnt a big deal for me.

i maintain straight a's so i should be able to pull somthing off...

cool mike..

So there IS academic reasoning?

I wasn't the popular partier, either... And most people aren't. But they still begrudgingly complete the entirety of their education, even though a lot of it seems (and may very well be) ridiculously unnecessary.

Again, what is the rush? You may "waste time" by finishing out a normal HS education but with the huge advantages of scholarships, wider choice of schools and freaking financial aid...why not sit it out.

Ahhh ok...doesn't sound too bad then except for being, what, 17 in college, which may or may not matter to you.
