My mom is retiring from the Air Force today after 20+ years and I wanted to end my speech with a good quote. Wondering if anyone has some good ones about continuing to grow and moving on or anything inspirational since she’s really afraid of leaving and entering the civilian workforce!
i used this part of General Douglas MacArthur's Farewell Speech
Quote:
"Duty," "Honor," "Country" - those three hallowed words reverently dictate what you want to be, what you can be, what you will be. They are your rallying point to build courage when courage seems to fail, to regain faith when there seems to be little cause for faith, to create hope when hope becomes forlorn.
ending with i hope to go into the Airforce as an Officer and make my family as out proud as my mom has made me

I'm way late here, but i don't think I could have given you any better advice....you did a good job.
My thanks and congrats to your mom! I never realised you were considering coming into the USAF....keep us posted, and let me know if you have any questions.
