TechIMO Diplomas ??
I never used a computer till 5 years ago. Never owned one till 3 years ago. And built my first one 1 year ago. Between times I changed modems, and soundcards and such. But I have learned so much here at TechIMO in past few months, reading posts, that I have built several computers since then, and all are up and running, except the ones I parted out for better stuff. So I was wondering if TechIMO gave out honorary A+ certified diplomas? Well I know they don't, but I would like to thank all the fine people here for helping me keep my junk up and running.

I agree... helpful, useful and educational. Oh Yea, as well as fun!
Surreal, the place just wouldnt be the same without ya. By the way, you still looking at tweaking your avatar, aside from the new fuzzies. I thought your were going for a "happier" and more "content" look.
Smiles,
Mortis

i want to add my vote of thanks to all the peeps that have helped me with my computer headaches.
i too have been able to put together 5 computers in the last 6 months and change parts in old ones.
i have also lost some friends due to this forum. all i can talk about now is computers.
my goal now is to try and help others with some of the knowledge that i have acquired in here (for my next 500 posts) many thanks again

| lol, I almost know the feeling there. I also only talk about computers (about 85% of the time), and there are not many people in my area who are much interested in talking about computers beyond more than 10% of the time, and not above casual talk of it. None of my real life friends talk much more than that either, so conversation point is at a minimum.
Oh well. SUch is life sometimes. I still enjoy being a computer junkie, despite the above side effect. Live, Breathe, Eat, Sleep computers.
SOmetimes jokes are exchanged between friends of mine and I that begin with "You know you are a computer geek when.... " or "You know your friend is a computer geek when ...."

I'm a newbie from the 'other place'. I'm like the posters before me. I had never looked inside a computer before about 6 months ago. Since, I have built 4 for myself, tweaked a few, and am constantly helping my family(3 bros and 4 sis, a lot of q's) with their comp. probs. I do so with thanks from all here. |
