Update: both ottomans arrived.. damaged. Packed in a tighttighttight box that looks like it was formed to them. No packing material at all.. none. Corner of one box had such damage (I hate to blame the box as there was no packing stuffs!) that the "foot" won't stay in place. Other one has cosmetic damage to the base clearly visible, so it doesn't look new at all.
Took pics of the damage, and emailed them. They assure me I'll get a full refund, including shipping charges (come on, look at my screen name, would I get anything less?
). They sent a call tag for one box. Nice, because they shipped them in 2 boxes.
FedEx guy said he'd tape them together. So it looks like FedEx will eat this one.. not cool, but I can't do more than tell the delivery guy about the lack of packing materials. Oops!
I'll report back when I get the refund. All this is just a tip for anyone thinking about placing an order. I gave them props before it was due.. my bad!
All in all, I wish they were ok. I liked them, but it looks like IKEA's getting the nod for chairs this week.
Hey Warthog, check Pier 1 for papasans. Call them and ask when they'll be on sale, you can save about $30.
