Al Franken body-slams Dean heckler

Funnyman Al Franken body-slammed a Lyndon Larouche supporter who was trying to shout down Howard Dean.

Franken said he merely wanted to protect the right of people to speak freely.

I'm neutral in this race but I'm for freedom of speech, which means people should be able to assemble and speak without being shouted down.

Where's reality TV when you really need them?

It would appear that franken only allows the right of free speech for the powerful.

But no matter how you slice it it appears that there was an assault and my guess is that franken will be out a cool mill.

A person can sue but unless they can show damages, they are not entitled to anything.

On a side not:

On a viceral level I like what he did to a certain degree. I wish someone would stomp the hecklers at every speech because they are simply abnoxious. Flip side though I do not want dopes like franken deciding who should speak and who should not.

I don't disagreee with his principles, but don't the candidates have people to handle this sort of thing? You can't expect a wrestler-turned-comedian to bail you out of every sticky situation.

Greg Norman (the golfer)..his caddy put a dude in a chokehold for heckling Greg, lol. (of course, I have seen Greg go into a crowd by himself also, so...lol)
