Well I couldn't tell you how the job market is in Denver. But I do know that it is a great place. Lots of things to do. Really close to the ski resorts if you like skiing. Nice climate. Doesn't help with the job market I know but it sure is a nice place.

Job market here is improving over what it was last year, but it still sucks, especially in the IT/comp tech realm. While there are a fair number of jobs listed compaired to 8-12 months ago, the competition for those jobs is fierce.

well im not sure what one im heading off to and when, but id like to either work in the IT field or possibally industrial, ive been a tig welder for over 3 years now but im sick of the atmosphere around here, all rednecks who back stab each other for a measily $.10 cent an hour raise...plus they start you out @ $9 even....which is highway robbery......i have a friend who just moved to denver about 8 months ago and he says he loves it, tons of stuff to do...so its looking like im might just throw out everything i cant sell and head out there....its got to be better than here...hell, hell would even be better.

I am not exactly in the tech field, but I can say that you should not expect to make huge money around St. Pete working in the IT sector. However, there are plenty of fringe benefits. Warm weather, Clearwater Beach (personal favorite!), and Ybor City (party central).

The saving grace of this area is its close proximity to Orlando. Tech jobs seem in moderate supply over there. If you go even further east to the other coast, tech jobs once were adundant in Titusville and Melbourne. I am not sure anymore, as I rarely have a reason to be over in Brevard county these days.

yeah i used to live in st. pete thats why i have that as an option....and boy o boy isnt ybor a perk many many a good nights spent at bar tampa and club KAOS
but then there is also the "ive already been there" affect, i know that most the jobs in the area are hospitality and i dont really have any enthusiasm to venture back in to that..i also ask because i was not into IT when i was down there i was a freeliving 18 year old at the time with no cares, so i never looked into that field....but i definatly miss the weather and beaches....

The weather and beaches are the reasons I live near Tampa. It sure isn't for the money or the people.

Florida... The first thing that comes to mind is Cadillacs and white shoes.
