David Kay, US chief Iraq arms expert quits
http://news.bbc.co.uk/1/hi/world/americas/3424831.stm
The head of the team searching for weapons of mass destruction in Iraq, David Kay, has resigned.
Although, President Bush said in his State of the Union Address, "We're seeking all the facts. Already, the Kay Report identified dozens of weapons of mass destruction-related program activities and significant amounts of equipment that Iraq concealed from the United Nations." In an interview with Reuters news agency after his resignation was announced, Mr Kay said he did not believe there had been large-scale production of chemical or biological weapons in Iraq since the end of the first Gulf War in 1991.
"I don't think they existed," Mr Kay said.

If they never had the weapons, why did Clinton send our planes on bombing missions to eliminate said facilities? Just a thought to help some realize that this has been an issue BEFORE President Bush took office.

Wasn't that in Sudan? Clinton had an aspirin factory bombed, I think. The Clinton admin discussed Iraqi WMD, discussed a regime change, but in the end, no cigar. lol Bill Clinton said he believed Iraq had WMD too.
If there are none, oh well. Saddam should have came clean about coming clean. I'd much rather Bush did something about it and be wrong than do nothing about it and be wrong.

I don't know about anyone else, but I think $272 million and 500 dead is a lot to pay for a lie. But Halliburton couldn't care less!

Clinton may have thought Iraq had WMD but he knew that a great leader doesn't send soldiers to die because of a 'I think.' One needs to know.

Ray H: excellent point.
It is becoming more and more likely that this adminstration had this whole thing planned out from the beginning. I refuse to believe that our intelligence can be this bad. And if it is...God help us all.
Does anyone know where I can find a copy of the memo Paul Oneil uncovered? I dunno if it was classified or not. But in his book he revealed memo's prior to 9/11 that discussed plans to rebuild Iraq and Oil contracts.
