sorry... I gues I missed the previous thread

but the clip I posted is an uncut full video (not ABCnews edit)

You can clearly see here that those people on the ground are simple field workers harvesting some crops…

Although it does appear that one of them was trying to hide some weapon, it could be a tractor part or anything else…

Please, excuse me for double post anyway

Aw heck. Leave this thread. Way too many people had problems running the realmedia file in the other one and this one had the full video. It's an .avi too.

Speaking of which. After seeing this vid I'm kind of angry that someone made that other one. It is now clear to me that the part where the "suspects" throw what appears to be a weapon was intentionally deleted to help someones agenda. It was too important to remove by accident. It's the whole focus over whether this was an honest engagement or cold-blooded murder.

After watching this vid all I need to know is this:

"Clear to engage or no"?

"Standby" "Are you certain it was a weapon"?,

"Positive"

Good enough for me. (edit: ..and I'm not totally for this war either)

One other thing. Even if this thread stays you are still going to get some heat for hotlinking those pics. I uploaded them to my server and you can use the following urls instead if you don't have anywhere to put them.

I just renamed them in the order they appeared in your post.

Whatever that guy through in the field looks a bit like an RPG.

Man that is one nice gun. It just smoked that truck like it was a toy. I want that gun on my truck

Thank you, man! I appreciate that!

My point is that exploding unarmed people (well, at least at the moment of shooting) with 30mm explosive rounds aren’t the best example of… democracy.

Plus… isn’t deliberate and direct usage of explosive rounds against infantry (not to mention some poor peasants harvesting some Goddamn grain in the field) banned by Geneva convention???

Uh no, it's not against the GC. Did you ever notice how tanks, jeeps, trucks, and mobile artillery always have humans controlling them? If we weren't allowed to use explosives on infantry, we wouldn't be able to destroy tanks or any other vehicles because explosives would be killing infantrymen.

If we wanted to ignore the GC, we would at least do it with style and go all out. We wouldn't be nice enough to use bullets; we would be using gas and fire bombs.

You are correct but that also applies to 50 caliber weapons and yet the U.S. has them as sniper weapons.... It doesn't look good but neither does the actions of those "civilians". Also, the power of hand held weapons is in the minds of the chopper pilots every time they fly in a possible hostile area. War never looks good because it isn't and imo can only be made worse by adding rules.

Edit: 50 cal. and above is not to be used against personnel,...only equipment, etc.
