HELP!! Ford Exploer 94 Premium JBL SOund System

HELP!! Ford Explorer 94 JBL Premium system

I have a 94 ford Explorer and in attempt to install a cd radio reciever for a surprise christmas present my brother being the moron that he is cut the gray cable for the jbl premium sound system and the other cable (plug but im not sure what its for). He cut the wires short so i want to know my options for putting in the radio, the lights in my dash some how dont work anymore and my dome light inside my car doesnt turn on when i open the doors. What can I DO? PLEASE HELP!!

Also can anyone help on estimates for:

I've seen rewiring my speakers and as an option i dunno why he didnt think about the adapter but he is an electrician so he prolly thought he didnt need it. but i am in dyer need of help everything is stock in my car. i cant even put the old radio back in cuz he cut the cables, pleez help

what do i have to do to fix my problem?

its a 94 ford explorer xlt

Welcome to TechIMO!

Best advice? Stop by AutoZone or Advance to purchase a repair guide for the vehicle. Skim it through the text before purchasing to be sure, but most of these guides include full wiring diagrams for the electrical systems.

Only with the wiring diagram would I attempt to start work on such a project. Personal opinion, however....

BTW, assuming is a stock unit, the CB could have simply been wired off the backside connectors of your cigarette lighter.
