I have Road Runner through TWC . Saturday night about 8:00 pm my modem crapped out. I called tech support and told them the cable light was out she asked my phone number and waited while I rebooted the modem ( I had already done that) I was prepared to go through a whole bunch of trouble shooting steps when she asked me if I knew what a ping was when I said yes she said I can't ping your mac address. at 11:00 am Sunday a new modem was delivered to me.
The darn thing had started working intermitantly sat. night after 10:30 I told the tech that and he said no problem.
