emmm my hamster eats wierd things

okay okay

A couple of days ago I was playing with my hamster and he ate spider that went by him. Yesterday he some ants that went into his ball while I let him run outside. Today I saw him eat some paper. And I know he didn't put it in his pouch because they didn't get any bigger.

Is this normal or is he a little messed up in the head

Eating insects may be normal, (protien), but paper?

wouldn't surpise me as they will shread up things.

Sounds normal to me. Ours chewed her way out of the old ball the other day. Knawed off one of the tabs that held the door on, the little devil!
