CBS Rejects Pro-Veggie and Moveon Super Bowl Ads

ESPN is reporting that CBS has rejected ads from PETA and MoveOn.org because they violate its rules on advocacy.

The PETA ad apparently drew a correlation between eating meat and impotence. Hmmmm, no wonder the human race is close to extinction, we're all eating meat!

PETA spokeswoman Lisa Lange shot back, "In a sense, everything is an advocacy ad. Every time you run a burger ad, you're advocating that people eat meat. And meat-eating is a controversial activity."

Ooooh, controversial!! I feel the tension every time I walk into a restaurant.

If CBS has rules on advocacy why is the CBS evening news on the air?
