shoveled 20 min. ago....
my dad just came home and yelled at me for not shoveling..it's coming down hard..and oh gracious is it cold. I can only hope that it will cancel classes.

and shoveling your way out, and heating oil bills, layering clothing and sweating them through, snow tires, dead batteries, engine block heaters plugged in the garage, salted roads leading to rust, and frozen pipes and door locks, etc. etc. For a month straight in the winter at least. And you get the muddy thaw-out with fresh potholes.

110 degrees would be an anomaly unless in the desert.

It kills me every time I see the local news, they start out with

"Its -20 below in Minot, ND with six inches of snow on the ground and six more expected within the hour... So Bob, what's our weather have in store for us.."
