The DC area is awesome! Four seasons, neighborhood feel and lots to do. Just make sure you can get a job to afford to live here. Rent is about $2000 a month for a 2 bedroom apartment in the good part of town inside the Beltway.

The weather here is sometimes cold, but we don't get much snow, the cost of living is cheap, there's zero traffic, and it's centrally located.
The Urbana area has some decent restaurants, but nothing compared to N.O.

And you know what the best part about living up here is?
Winter kills all the bugs!

Earthquakes, crazy people, housing is outrageous....did I mention the crazies?
you want beaches? We've got more shoreline per capita than anywhere else!
Sorry Knot, you may have iced latte's, but they dont' beat a nice warm cup of hot chocolate with all the extras after a brisk shovelling of the snow, or sledding, or icefishing, or....

Pennsylvania gets every season. You can go swimming in the summer and have a white Christmas. Best of both worlds. You never get tired. The Philly area as well as other metropolis's have many available jobs too.

See, that's why Sweet needs to come here. The exact reasoning behind this little assertion of mine escapes me, but I assure you, the logic is perfectly good! |

The Philadelphia area is nice. Great city, lots to do, and in the summer? Trips to the New Jersey shore!
Worcester or Boston, Massachusetts aren't bad places, either. Fun to take trips to the other parts of New England, and Boston has so much to do!
(Sorry, no way in hell you'll see me defend California. )
