Yesterday, the ACLU filed a friend-of-the court brief supporting Mr. Limbaugh’s argument that the seizure of his private medical records was illegal, and Limbaugh gratefully accepted the ACLU’s help.

His attorney Roy Black said he and Limbaugh "are pleased that the ACLU has filed a motion" and added the seizure was "also a threat to everyone’s fundamental right to privacy."

Of course, circumstances alter cases, don't they? Samples taken from Limbaugh’s own website:

August 22nd, 2003:
"I warned you about this ever-broadening interpretation of the so-called right to privacy. It’s not a 'right' specifically enumerated in the Constitution or Bill of Rights."

But:

December 23rd, 2003:
"Now they need my medical records, my private medical records to find out if I’ve committed a crime called doctor shopping? They now have to invade my privacy to learn whether I have broken the law?"

And his love for the ACLU is also new-found:

September 12th, 2003:
"If this guy had burned that flag," Limbaugh said, "the ACLU and countless other groups would be down there supporting this guy’s right to desecrate old glory. But because he’s flying the American flag respectfully, none of the so-called civil libertarians makes a peep."

September 23rd, 2003:
"The ACLU has decided they’re not going to appeal the Ninth Circuit’s decision to reinstate the California re-call election... They must not really care all that much about you stupid minorities and poor people."

December 23rd, 2003:
"Where have all these so-called civil libertarians gone, the ACLU and the rest of them, claiming our government is overreaching?"

Rush will never be convicted. The law enforcement officers on the street do not even make arests for illeagle prescription drugs in Palm Beach county because all the pill head does is go to a walk in clinic and say their back hurts then the pill pusher writes a script. The day of court the pillhead says I just forgot my script at home and the case is noll processed. The enforcement should be on the drs. and pharmacists that are writing the scripts and filling them as well as the drug distributers. There isn't enough drug stores in Palm Beach county for Rush to have filled just one prescription in each store.
$150.00 for a 5 minute check up and writing a script sure beats $150.00 a month in Pakistan or India.

Well, bash Rush all you like, we all know you hate him anyway. However, I've listened to Rush and then compare him to almost any of the Democrats in office today.........

I'll take Rush's point of view on 95% of the topics every time (he just makes more logical sensible points imho) . He's not perfect, but he reflects my viewpoint MUCH more than any Democrat politicitian to date. You want to compare stupid quotes.... and ideals....

Look up Tom Daschle, Hillary Clinton, or my favorite Edward Kennedy.....

victim of a basketball players rape should have her medical records made public but a pillheads should be closed.
I told you why he won't be convicted so what is the big deal? Are they now going to try to say it didn't happen.
I find that most of the people that bash Hillary do so because she is obviously smarter than the bashers.

Well the cases are DIFFERENT. In case it was lost on you..... the person claiming to be raped is going to possibly put someone in jail for a long time because of her accusations. The medical records in this case (hers) could help convict/or prove innocent a person that SHE claims raped her. IE: she started the court proceedings.

Different in Rush's case ........ he DIDN'T start the court proceedings.

The ACLU is backing Rush because Rush is most likely guilty, and the ACLU loves to protect the guilty. They don't give a rats arse about Rush's civil liberties. They, like most liberal groups, are hell bent on destroying this country from the inside. The best way to do that is tare down values and promote degeneracy. They think it's great that Rush is a pillhead and shouldn't be prosecuted. Heck, everyone should be a pillhead and get away with it.
