I95 closed in both directions near baltimore

The State Highway Administration says I-95 is closed in both directions at Interstate 195, about six miles south of Baltimore. Highway crews are working on setting up a detour.
WTOP traffic reporter Bob Marbourg says the truck crashed down from a ramp directly above Interstate 95. The truck crashed onto the northbound lanes and exploded, leaving a thick, white cloud of smoke.
"For the most part, the fire has been suppressed, but the roadway is still blocked and will likely stay that way for hours and hours to come."

I95 is a MAJOR artery on the east coast, and right during rush hour ...
I imagine a few folks will be getting home at midnight tonight

I95 really is a major highway. I saw your thread title and was thinking, "Oh, my, this can't be good." 
Hopefully they get it cleaned up as soon as they can. (Safely, of courses).

WOW...that is crazy. I took that portion of I95 from Delaware on down south when I came back from VT last...what a nightmare if it had happened while I was traveling then. :-/

ya, I go right through anytime I go to BWI airport (was through there just after new years)
If I get bored, I may take a trek up there this weekend to see the damage.
