i was just wondering about who has problems or doesn't have them.
i've read that Siliconjunkie is colorblind, Blazer06 has to wear glasses........
........please don't blame me if you think this thread is useless......
......OuT has no problems what so ever and i envy him for that....

I'm blind. My contacts are about a quarter inch thick. Coke bottle contacts. That's me.

| my vision is messed up too......what i see with my right eye looks like what you see on TV when the antena is bad..(picture with noise) while my left eye is okay. i had that for about 8 months now ever since i slipped on the hard tile floor (because it had soap on it for some reason) and fell and hit my head really badly....when i got up everything was black and white (lacked color) and on the righ side of what i saw i saw some sort of a weird amoeba-like shape made up of TV noise, after 15 seconds i started seeing things in color again but the colors weren't bright and when i closed my left eye i saw in black and white. I was feeling like i was gonna throw up and went to lay down on the couch. after about 10 minutes the colors where okay, but i still saw the amoeba shaped thing and after half an hour the thing went away and some noise was still there....after 2 days the noise became less visible and it became as it is now.....
......seems like it is brain damage and there is no way to fix it

Could be a de-tached retina, common to boxers who get whacked in the head, thought of talking to a Dr about it?
Ive had surgery on both eyes for floppy eye syndrome and now receive botox injections monthly to control the nerves and muscles of my eyes or they jump around uncontrollably
Im about to have some sort of Lasik or otherwise corrective procedure done---still consulting...

I hear ya.
Left eye is perfect, right eye is quite bad. I don't wear glasses though. They make your eyes bad as it is.

I use contacts (or glasses, but I broke mine last year). My eyes will get worse and worse the older I get.
Maybe I can get laser surgery when I get older and get a job, if it can be done on my eyes.

Funny, I've had that amoeba thing in my eyes once in a great while. It'll start small and grow larger shimmering like that tv noise until it dissipates. I cover one eye and see it the other so it's probably coming from the brain. I have no idea what it is but when it happens I feel some sort of dizziness. While I don't lose my colors it blurs my vision. Since I got a bad back up to my neck I think it's coming from a pinched nerve. Like TKOP I have chronic pains so some of us here are fortunate indeed.

Pretty thick bifocals here, and they're not enough for extended comp usage. Going to check into trifocals soon, tired of holding my neck bent so I can see the screen through the lower section. Tried dedicated comp glasses, but then I can't see anything over a couple feet away!
W/o the glasses, I can't even SEE the words I've just typed, much less read them!
