why did i lost respect?
during the time with clinton, i never really thought about america, just that it's a nice country, good politics, etc. but after bush got president i lost the respect, i hate him, i hate what america does! how the people still stand behind the president who is completely different to clinton (clinton got re elected and i still dont know why, i thought you all hate him )
bush is going to be re elected, but i hope after him someone like clinton comes back, just because i think he helps more than bush does!
now please i dont want a comparison, i dont want to see what bad things clinton did, or good things bush did (if there are any sry had to) i just want to understand why america changed from one president to the other and got a totally different image??

Have a few airliners fly into Geneva and ask yourself how your international image might change.

All you see on your end is foreign policy, a category Bush is far more 'active' in. Judging by your comments in other threads, you don't appreciate America being everywhere all over the world (no surprise, many don't), something Bush is good at
From my perspective, our world image hasn't changed...everyone hated us before, and they still do *shrugs* Personally, I don't care much, I just do what I've got to do and that's that.

You tried to give Vietnam a big hug, went wrong. You tried to give Korea a big hug, went wrong. You tried to give Europe a big hug in ww2, now a majority of your population thinks it was your country alone who won the war.
Your country reminds me of a person, who tries to help, and gets himself involved in tasks he shouldn't, and ends up screwing them over big-time.
You try to help, but you can't. And it's something your country doesn't see, as you aren't the ones on the receiving end.
