kicked in the nads while down
ok i need to vent cause i am not having a very good month .
first lets give ya some background . i was born in 65 and was put up for adoption . i was 6 weeks old when i was adopted . well in 1988 i moved from NJ to CA . well about 6 months after i moved to CA i found out that my biological parents lived about 2 hours drive from where i lived in CA .
well on Dec 4 2003 my mother on the east coast passed away . so i went back there for the services . i came back and got a phone call , my biological mother ( Kay ) was in the hosipital in icu . she has lung problems i think it is cpdl or something like that . so i get back from burying one mother and find out the other is in bad shape .. now this was the middle of dec when all this was happening , right before xmass. I will add that Kay is doing alot better now . she is only on the ventilater for part of the day and in able to breath on her own alot better and we hope she will be outta the hospital in 3-5 weeks .
Now here is what really kicked me square in the nads ....i got a phone call on wensday about 1 in the afternoon , it was my brother ( half) my biological father (Riley) had a heartattack in his sleep and passed away early yesterday morning ..... I couldn't f'n believe this . I had just saw him the friday before and he seemed in good shape all things considered . Riley was a great guy and waws the least of my or anybodys worrys . He had 2 bypasses in the past , the last being about 4 years ago and NOBODY saw this comming .
i have no idea what i did in life to have all this come down on me like this but i can tell ya i am having a hard time with it . so once again i will be away this weel to fly Riley back to NJ to be burried next to his mother ...
sorry to dump on you people but i need to let it out ..

That really sucks, Omar.
There isn't really anything that can be said to make any of this feel any better - but I'll keep you and yours in my thoughts while you try to overcome this difficult time. |

Man, that really stinks Omar, I'm sorry to hear it. Just goes to show we need to tell everyone we love them when we have the chance.

we are never given a load we can't carry even if it seems so at the time. Nothing anyone can say will help, it just takes a lot of time . I lost my father 50 years ago and still miss him. It will get better.

My condolences on your losses and difficulties. It is very hard when you lose a close family member. I have lost several, but never in such a close proximity of time.
The only thing that has gotten me through my losses has been the shoulders and fellowship of church members and the guidance of the church leaders. I don't know if you are a religious person, but even if you aren't, talking to a church's pastor is one of the best places to find solace for your losses. Here's a link to Sacramento churches. I don't know any of them there or I'd try and guide you to a good one. http://sacramento.citysearch.com/sea...yahoo&cs_link=
I hope your mother gets well and that you find peace.
Best regards,
Dave

Man, I'm sorry to hear this is hitting you all at once Omar. I don't have anyway to make it better, but I can offer my condolences, and the knowledge of knowing you were heard by someone who cares.
Hang in there,
Robert
