Feeder, heard of em?

I know folks in the UK may well have heard of Feeder. Their drummer committed suicide yesterday which sucks cos their music was incredible (i've you've not heard them, download "Just a Day" or "seven days in the sun")

Why do people commit suicide when they're so successful? Anyways, the guy will be sorely missed by heaps of Rock music fans.

People commit suicide because bing sucessful or rich doesn't make you happy. In fact they are usually miserable. That's why they do drugs, drink or commit suicide... they want to get away.....

It's unfortunate but true.

Well people from all sorts of backgrounds, cultures, etc. Money doesn't matter either, poorest of the poor will do drugs and the richest of the richest will do drugs.

Yes, this definetely sucks!

Because no matter how good everything looks on the outside, depression will rob one of their joy. Or if he was a doper, (and you know in that world it's more the norm than not) the stuff destroyes one's emotional stability. Whispers dispair, and failure while prodding you to use some more to feel better, and find happiness. But it never happens and depression sets in,,

Hang on a moment, There are other reasons to do drugs and you can become depressed without the aid of drugs. Before xtacy was outlawed it was used by clinical phychiatrists to aid patients express thier thoughts, heck even tibeten monks used it because it aided thier medatation. Death and suicide are two things that make me personally feel sad, not so much for the person who commited the act but for the people that are left to deal with the situation.
But thats my opinion

You sure can! But continued use of drugs on an regular and heavy basis or what is usually considered addiction will skew your brain chemistry causing depression and distorted self image in the person that may have not otherwise become depressed.

Right, show me your documentation.. I doubt Monks were doing Ecstasy. Since it has only been around for 20 years or so..
It's a garbage drug produced in a lab.
Unlike LSD which is replicated in a lab but derived from a form of mold, in the Ergot class. Which by the way is also garbage.

Drugs suck.

BTW and for the record, I know of what I speak, I'm a recovering addict.

20 years hey?? then why was it patented in 1914??
check out www.erowid.org
or more specifically
http://www.erowid.org/chemicals/mdma/mdma_info6.shtml
this report was written in 1986, so if my maths is correct that makes the report almost 16 years of age.

Calm down and look at it subjectivley, i myself have ceased my habits but unlike some, i see that thier are several sides to the argument.
As for the monk call, ill find a link to that, if not ill have top check my library and post a reference.

It is easy to blame a substance for causing damage but the question becomes was that person likley to develope similar symptoms regardless, you cannot go back in time and check the alternatives.
but i stress this is my opinion

check this link aswell surreal
