I'd love to do some reading - but how about some links to some sites that don't have a horrendously heavy bias to one side of the argument?

A 15 second skim of that article revealed a lot of half-truths, and some sort of agenda - which was validated by a few clicks to other parts of the site.

IMO, the above quote does necessarily mean that all threads pertaining to sexually are automatically disallowed, but such discussion can only take place if those who participate in the thread do so responsibly and tastefully.

Discussing issues related to homosexuallity is one thing, but focusing on the graphic details that may be unsuitable or objectional for some members crosses the line of acceptability. There are many forums for that type of discussion, but TechIMO is not one of them.
