New "signed into law" - California



Effective January 1, 2004

Gender Law AB196:
Prohibits job discrimination against transsexual and transgendered applicants and employees.

For example: Employers may impose reasonable workplace appearance, grooming, and dress standards as long as employees are allowed to appear or dress consistently with their gender identity. This means you must permit a male employee who identifies with being female to wear women's clothing if the employee chooses to do so. But the same grooming standards will apply to this person that do to the other employees, such as skirt and dress length.

Actually there was a guy, think it was on the news or something
He wasn't a transexual or anything like that..
He was a busdriver, and the requirements for a bus driver was to wear slacks or a dress.
Well in the middle of the summer it gets fairly hot (not an uncommon thing!)
So he got tired of sweating his derrier off.. so he wore a skirt!
He was happy because he was able to keep cooler than wearing slacks lol

(btw think this was in england or something, so can't say anything about those stinkin' americans on this one! )

This just came in....
A gay transsexual police officer who has recently been given the right to where a bikini as long as he is in his police vehicle or directing traffic, has been given further rights to marry its beloved pet dog Brutus. Since the dog is of a very obedient mind and is very friendly and poses no threat to anyone the couple has been given the constitutional rights to perform oral sex with each other while chewing gum.

Heterosexual spokesman against the activities was thrown out of court when appealing the decision as he was found to be improperly dressed for court when showing up in court wearing nothing but a grey 1990's business suit. He was told to return looking a little more decent with either a transsexual visual appeal or at the very least, gay lawyer.
