Silicon Removal?

Any home-improvement people here?

Whats the best way to remove silicon from bathroom tiles?

Call your local tile dealer and see what he suggests.

I would try a dull puddy knife and then re-acylic any scratch tiles if necessary.

A good cosmetic surgeon can remove silicon.

Other than that I cant think of any chemical that will release it break it down or what not.

When we had a countertop put in, they used a solvent to remove the errant silicone caulk from the stainless steel sink and the granite. I swear that it was just called 'Silicone Solvent'. However it might have only worked for un-set silicone.

Are you trying to clean up after a fresh application or remove old gnarly caulk?

Razor blade and alot of time---maybe a fine wire wheel mounted on a bench grinder---or---buy new ones, they aint that much :-)
