Bush Economic Policy
1) Close your factories and move all manufacturing to China;
2) Farm the white collar jobs out to India;
3) For whomever's left: Read the Labor Dept. Guide on How to Avoid Paying Overtime: Lower Wages!
4) If the above doesn't work: Hire Illegal Aliens. It's OK now!

Just IMO, but the reason we're so P-O'ed at Bush is that this is happening on his watch, and he obviously isn't gonna do jack about it....
...but to be fair, these are trends which have been building for a long, long time. I think they have more to do with the glorification of greed in this country, and the lack of any sense of personal responsibility, than anything else.

And it's only worsened when the glorification of greed (corporate greed, moreover) is tied in directly with the President and his administration.

Thing is, I don't get at all surprised at any of 'em. Nixon, Ford, Clinton, whomever. I see them as criminals in the first place. LEGAL criminals, but criminals just the same.
Q: Why else would large corporations spend millions and millions of dollars to plant "their" guy in the White House?
A: To reap unfair advantage and federal favors, leaving the rest of us standing there and saying, Uh, just a minute...that's illegal, isn't it?
Oh, it USED to be, huh?"
These guys haven't been representing the American people since the days of Dwight Eisenhower. |

How does a people go about taking their country back from a vast, well-organized and self-perpetuating crime syndicate that permeates the entire system? That IS the entire system? |

I just want to know something: This India country that's getting all the financial information of the United States of America to process is not the same India that was aligned with the Soviet Union during the cold war, is it? I wouldn't want to think our infomration is being processed by a country we had less than trustful relationships.

The fact is the economy is on the mend (recovering from the downhill slide that started at the end of Clinton's administration), and in the near future, with the baby-boomers retiring, there will be a huge surplus of jobs in the US. Those jobs will have to be filled somehow.

You would deny these jobs to the poor people starving in mud huts? Just so you could maintain your lifestyle and get paid 1000 times the world average income.
You would kill all those children just to maintain a few overpaid union jobs.
If you can survive on 1000 dollars annually in india then we should certainly be able to survive on 10,000 dollars annually in the US. Send the other 8 thousand dollars abroad to help the world |
