well, it's up and running...
I finally have uploaded my site, davesaidwhat . I am somewhat satisfied with it thus far. I nned to touch up a few minor things. The only disappointment seems to be on dial up, it takes forever for me at my home...
please take the time to go out and check it out. Also, please list anything that you see wrong (I apologize ahead of time). I REALLY APPRECIATE ALL OF THE HELP!!!!

Looks great ,alittle slow to load on dialup but that is to be expected with the IMG's. It's been awhile since I've listen to DMB.

storm2k: Thanks but I was a little disappointed in it. I think it should be alittle smaller. If you view it on a 15" monitor, you'll see what I am talking about. I designed it a 17" and was not about to redo it. It took me close to 5 hours to do it. But I am not a "flash" wiz like Socal...
MDS: yep, the majority of the sight is pictures so it does take some time. Liittle disppointed in that too... But it flys here at work

Very nice. Not too flashy, which I like. Simplicity is good. Flash works for kids, but most people don't want to wade through stuff to find what they want.

I'm jealous, I still haven't had time to sit down and edumacate myself in Flash.

first step is shrinking that background QUITE a bit!

I saved that image as a jpg with high compression even at 24bit color the filesize went down to 56kb vs. 456kb

That wasn't even resizing the image (which is also quite large at a whopping 1024x1536)

That would dramatically lower your load time on that page alone.

flash is pretty nice, and didnt' take too long to load on the 1st page though
