Anyone see this lady's winning lottery ticket?

A Cleveland woman has reported to local police that she lost a winning lottery ticket worth $162 million.

Police say Battle also was in tears when she came to the station Friday to file the report...
How about all the people who lost money buying lottery tickets? Shouldn't they be crying, too?

I had a friend who sent his son to buy tickets ( 5 playslips-5 games each) at a nearby icehouse. At the drawing they realized that they have two playslips that are the same. The missing one had the winning numbers (4 mil). They sued the icehouse but lost. The verdict was that if you should check your change before leaving the counter you should check your tickets. My friend went downhill so bad he became ill and died in a few months.

A friend told me about a coworker who played in the company pool. He (coworker) bought a new truck so at payday he declined to play that week ($5!) as he's pretty broke. That week was a winner where every players in that pool each won $220,000 a year for 20 years. It was a big jackpot. Needless to say that dude went berserk and ended up in a farm.

So if that woman's true she'll probably go nuts.

That comes under the Doh factor!

That would suck but considering that there is little or no proof that she did it. Then she would need to prove that she alway plays that number and that she played that day. Then maybe, Just maybe she should get the cash.

Technically she does not have a leg to stand on.

BTW she is lying

I went to cleveland and bought that ticket. I am the winner but my dog ate my ticket.

Because of the size of the prize, lawyers would want to get into it. It's very much like finding a bag of money. It does belong to the person who lost it.

The problem is that the woman claiming the loss would have to prove that she, in fact, was the rightful owner. The woman in posession doesn't have to prove anything...and therefore, should say nothing.

About the only way the woman claiming loss would be able to prove such is if her fingerprints were on the ticket!

Whenever I buy lottery tickets for big drawings like this I sign then when I get them at the store. Of course I only buy a couple at a time, but if you do manage to lose it at least no one else is going to get it.

I don't think she has a leg to stand on either............
