Well, you can always move to the Promised Land!
I was gonna do a "My weather beats your weather" thread, to make me feel better on those biting sub 50 degree days. Here's mine
Just type your zip code, or one close to it, and post the link to show off your weather.

It was -27c here on the night of the 5th but it's warming up. http://weatheroffice.ec.gc.ca/foreca...tml?wjv&unit=i
The boss said no work until it warms up a bit. What a wuss. I like working in the cold.
Cheers!

Well draboo... say ya to da UP eh?
Well, here in West MI it is freezing and snowing and downright miserable as well, but it is rarely as nasty as the UP... hang in there only 5 more months till spring |

Hey draboo.
I was a framing carpenter from '88 till a couple of years ago.
Back in northern Ontario in the winter, the foreman would get a low fire going and some paint buckets full of nails. He'd place them next to the fire to warm them up. We only deserved this treatment if it was -20c or colder of course. He didn't want to spoil us.
I really miss shoveling off the lifts of lumber and trying to pull the boards apart. Or trying to get the first wall up as a wind break on the sub floor. Everyone should experience the -20c day with a wind chill of -50c for an 8 1/2 hour shift. Very refreshing to say the least.
I love it when all the neumatic tools freeze and once more you have a chance to show off how good you are with a hammer. (Not!)
105 miles? Didn't they get you and the boys a room? that's an awfully long way to go.
Cheers!

Michigan weather humor... true story
"This had most of the state of Michigan laughing for 2
days and a very embarrassed female news anchor who
will, in the future, likely think before she speaks.
What happens when you predict snow but don't get
any....a true story... We had a female news anchor
who, the day after it was supposed to have snowed and
didn't, turned to the weatherman and asked: "So Bob,
where's that 8 inches you promised me last night?" Not
only did HE have to leave the set, but half the crew
did too they were laughing so hard"
