After CE and I transfered a large load to the new house this afternoon, we treated ourselves to an afternoon at the local mall.

One of the items we bring with us, is a medium bag, full of assorted candies, including of course, chocolate. We give the employees of many of the stores a few of the candies, just to be nice, or as CE likes to call it, 'Random Acts of Senseless Kindness'.

People can be rude, crude, and just plain socially unacceptable, and most people will just accept this as normal. But when an act of kindness is shown, a lot of people react with suspicion.

Now when we go to the mall, and the people see the familiar black bag in my hands, we see smiles.

My mommy told me not to take candy from strangers.

I know what you mean AC. It's lots of fun isn't it?
During the shopping mania, I was going to get a pair of shoes for myself. They were awesome in comfort. A great price for a pair of Clark's too, under 40. This lady came in, and I could tell her feet hurt and her shoes where too tight. We talked a bit and she told me she wore my size. I had her try them on and she loved them. Naturally the only pair that size in the store, I told her Merry Christmas.

We have made some really good friends there by doing this.

One of the ladies we gave some of the candy to told us that we really made her day special. That had to be the highlight of the day.

The candiy is just our way of showing people a bit of kindness. Even a cheerful hello, or a smile and a wave can make someone's day better.

The pressing question is, how many more large loads is it going to take to stuff that house full of your stuff?!

RF: More every day it seems...

Does your stuff self replicate? Mine does...

As for the RASK: This has been a subject for us (AC and me) since we got married. A few years ago we stumbled upon a low cost source of candies and treats. That allowed us to add this mall crawl to our routine. And the workers at the mall just love to see us coming.

The only hard part is the larger stores, where the staff can't have the candy out on the floor. Those we try to find a manager and arrange for a bowl/bag in the employees break room.

Back to the packing!
