Flag theft! Can't believe it

Just woke up this morning to find out that our 4'x6' American flag was ripped out of it's 2nd floor balcony housing last night! Granted, it's a relatively low dollar item and we can always get a new one, but JEEZ! I'd rather have them steal our lawn chairs!

Since the American flag is supposed to be 'treated as a living being' (according to most care literature about the flag), can this be considered kidnapping?

i don't think a court would see it that way, but that's sad that they stole your flag...

sounds like some punk kids. time to ge a flag lined with metal stripes and run electricty thru it.

Now, that's some serious sleaze. Saw a news report recently where some kids stole a whole gang of smaller flags that were lining one guy's driveway. Like 50 of them or something. They realized it was a pretty rotten thing to do and brought them back.

Maybe that'll happen for you. Don't hold your breath, but maybe....

Sorry about your flag, but I should point out here that the American flag, if you are displaying it, is always taken down at sundown...the idea being that the sun shall never set on Old Glory. Just a note...
