Misc There is a bat flying around my apartment

This thing is fast! Anybody know a good way to catch one? I don't have any idea how it got in here lol. I don't want to kill it, just need to find a way to catch it and let it go....any ideas?

Bat spray! Duh!
Not the kind that'll kill it, of course NOT, but as they said below...a large towel/blanket will work if you're able to corner it.

Otherwise I would leave a patio door/window open so it'll escape. Hope nothing happens to ya,

I hope it's not a VAMPIRE bat!!! LOL

Well remember that it can hear you coming so it is pointless to try and catch it... call the animal aganecy and ask them....

I've found that a good heavy sweatshirt or blanket works pretty good. After you get it inside the cloth, take it outside and flip it open, and the bat will fly away.

I don't like killing bats either, they really cut down on the pest type bugs that fly around.

PS - Look behind furniture, curtains and miniblinds, they like narrow spots where they can hide.

You might try a variation on what I was taught about getting birds out of the house. Prop a door or two wide open so they have a way out and turn out all the lights. Birds will go toward light. Maybe turn on all the lights? I have caught bats in a large towel and put them out side, Not a good idea unless you wear something they can't bite through though!
