CD's in the microwave
I just put like 10 cds in my microwave and the thaught just hit me. Is it bad for your microwave to cook cds in it?

Yes it's bad (so I've been told) and it makes your microwave stink.

BTW US, it shouldn't smell much at all. You only do it for for a few seconds. No more than 10 should be necessary.

Just learned something. Got a CD (especially a home burned one) that no longer reads the data?..stick it in the freezer for an hour or two. http://www.cdrom-guide.com/cgi/Ultim...hreadid=264692
Seems to work quite well.. I had a couple that were very difficult to read with an older CD rom reader..but would read ok by my newer DVD..stuck them in the freezer and anything will read them. I don't have a clue how long the effect lasts, or why it works in the first place.

You've phsycologically scarred the CD and it doesn't like the abuse you've given it.
If you couldn't read very well and were then placed in the freezer for two hours, you'd probably read real well after that.
Duh.
