The article and news content management systems are both due an overhaul. Changes we have made over the past few months have rendered some features rather unstable, such as the search and paging routines.
Scott intends to start work on fixing these problems this month.
As to article submission, avoid the submission page in the article section. It works, but it can also make my life a nigtmare when trying to format submissions.
Until we complete the CMS upgrades, I recommend all articles be submitted directly to me at
editor@techimo.com. Nearly any format is acceptable, from text to word to HTML. Just be sure to callout where any images may need to be placed if you submit text.
Once submitted, I lightly edit the text and fix any formatting probs. The editorial process generally takes 3-5 weekdays (weekends are my time
), though I may be a little slower in January as I already have a backlog of articles setting in my inbox.
