Michael Bailey, chair of the Department of Psychology at Northwestern University, who is alleged to have had sexual relations with a client and then used private details about that client and five others as research material for a book without getting informed consent from the people whose cases he discussed. But when I had finished reading the story I found I still needed to do quite a bit of inference to figure out what had gone on. The reason involves pronouns and sex. And from here on in I had better warn you that we get into what the movie warnings call "adult situations". ...

I alway assume the sex of a person to be the way they were born, regardless of any surgery.

That's pretty funny! Yes, and true, too. I used to know a gay transvestite, whose nom de drag was "Mr. Sally". I never saw Sally dressed as a man (and it goes without saying I never saw her undressed  ) and I always referred to her as a "she"!
So I would conclude it has only to do with the kind of energy the person puts off, as well as how they present themselves to the world, as far as pronouns go.  | |

Well, I guess we could start calling guys who get a female sex change Eunuchs. And we'll call the women who get the addadictomy operation wangsters. Seriously, those people are messed up. I think some have even demanded and won insurance coverage for the surgery. I hope none of my premiums went to such a filthy procedure.
