Hey Guys! Are you Bored?

Great wanna do some searching with me? hehehe.

Im looking for labels similar to what you see in this link They don't need to be exact, but would like the common name and latin names on the labels with picture of the fish.

Im trying to find a vendor in the USA. That link is in the UK.

Post your findings here.

TIA

The only thing that comes to mind is to design your own and find a print shop.

Cheers!

That's what I'd do. They'd be simple enough to design. If you got a decent digital cam and the fish then why not. Of course it's not a project that you finish up in one day, it'd take a while I'm sure. But you just begin and finish whenever you finish. Beauty is you can update your labels yourself or even show individually specific fish for sale.

Do you have any idea of the volume of fish we carry? It would take a huge long time to get pictures of every single species. We have over 500 differnet species in our shop.

Whether you decide to order the labels, or make them on your own - if you have 500 different types of fish, it's going to take you a long time no matter what route you go.

hmmm. I'm thinking you could spend a little time each day, maybe an hour. You should easily be able to do 20 shots, upload them to your pc, drop them into your label template and save them. Doing 20 a day would take ya less than a month to cover the whole shop.

Once a week, or whenver you reach 100 labels ready to go, then take them to the printing joint and bang, that's it.

Or if you can find the labels you're looking for, just buy them. [shrug]

That is part of our current problem we want water proof labels. Ones we can reuse. Taking the time to print them takes a while when we are constantly moving fish around.

We are looking for an easier system. one that we can have a little alphabetized index card holder file thingy where we can keep them in and then stick them up when we change things. would be easier if pre-printed and water proof. Right now we have to keep reprinting them and hanging them up again. its a pain.
