Florida pics
We spent Christmas in Florida with my family. While we were there, we visited Blue Springs near Deland. Here's some pics. The one of the Kennedy Space Center launch towers was actually taken at Cocoa Beach, but the rest are from Blue Spring. This is my first attempt at a photo gallery page, so be patient. The thumbnails have mouse-over text and the same text is below each large picture. Pics

Excelent photos...thank you..kinda made me homesick. That used to be my 'stomping' grounds.
Alligator Gar fish are one of the survivors along with Alligators and Crocodiles when the dinosaurs died out. That specie has been here awhile!!

Awesome pictures!
I wish my part of FL had scenery like that...I mean, we do have white sandy beaches...but I've been here for just about 8 years now and I'm tired of looking at sand.

| Oh, pipe down... I spent two hours last night pushing cars out of snowbanks during a blizzard, and almost froze my cheeks off!
Florida looks warm... and therefore yummy. Looks like you had fun. |

Cool. My x-girlfriend[whom I visited while still together] moved to Jacksonville, FL during the summer. Going from CA to FL was quite the culture/climate shock I might add.
You're a good photographer...

Hey, you were only about 10 miles from where I live. That used to be privately owned and it was going to be turned into a housing development until the State stepped in and bought it up to help protect the manatees and the river. It's a beautiful place, true Florida nature but that water is some kinda' cold! |

Cool pictures.
You were not too far from me while over in Deland. Instead of turning east at Ocala, just go west about the same distance and you would have been right where I live. Quote: |

| Florida has several distict regions. My area is called the nature coast, and I am tired of starring at wild life and pine trees. | |
