Metalic Taste
Its driving me nuts. For the last 24 hours I have had a metal taste in my mouth. Sometimes i feel funny for a short bit like a few minutes at a time then it goes away. But the taste does not.
Anyone have that before if so how can I get rid of it. Its driving me nuts!

That sound like poison or some contaminations. You ought to get yourself checked out. You'd never know.

No changes in my food except red meat is out now since the mad cow thingy was pulled from all the stores so we are advoiding the food.
As for poisons only thing close I can come up with is the fillings and my bridge in there. Its all metal, but i have had them for years so that really can't be it.
No do on the lemons, allergic to them
japepnos? Forget it pal, I do not like spicy things.

A lot of people with sensitive taste buds get a metallic taste in their mouths when they get sick.

Can be a simple sinus condition, most possibly an infection. Had the flu yet this season? Remember, the tongue actually provides only a small portion of our tasting ability. The nose is responsible for much.
Any pain, numbness, or dizziness present? If so, then you may need checked for a heart-related problem.
Still, wju425 is correct as well. Many common poisons will create a metallic taste, especially if the taste is extreme or overwhelming.

Your gums may be bleeding...the "metallic" taste is the iron in your blood...not noticeable bleeding, but enough to produce that funny taste. It's happened to me before, brushing over your gums with a soft toothbrush daily should toughen them up enough to stop the bleeding.
