Someone kicked my car - Huge dent need advice on repair
I'm so angry right now some bastard kicked my car last night , There is a huge dent on the back door - The size of a shoe , Insurrance doesn't cover the repair.
Is there any way to repair the damage ? The metal doesn't seem to be damaged , I was thinking I could knock it out with a hammer from the inside or something.
Anyone god any ideas ? |

If the dent is big enough, I'd try to pull it out with a good ol' toilet plunger.

Man that sucks. I'm not sure if a hammer would be the best of options. Maybe a rubber mallet, maybe not. I've seen some gizmos that you put a suction cup to the dent and turn the nob until it pops out the dent. Do they sell those kind of things over there?

Remove the door's interior panel, then lightly push against the dent until it pops. This is assuming it is a uniform crease. Some paint touch up may be required depending on how sharp of an angle the dent created along the body surface.
Now to my real advice. I am not sure about body shops over there, but any decent body tech could pop the dent and probably save the paint for under $100 here in the US.

Cool
I'm thinking this can be fixed aslong as the metal isn't cracked
Correct ?!

It has worked for me in the past. Won't hurt to try it.

Yeah, the metal must be solidly intact. I also assume there is no major cracks in the paint's finish, right?

What if the metal is damaged?!
The paint is cracked , It's a huge dent , No way it can be intact

Considering the paint is cracked, then the dent must be a rather sharp angle. This maybe just me, but I wouldn't attempt fixing such a dent myself.
The reason is the paint will probably flake right off when you pop the dent. Might as well spend the extra few dollars at a body shop to pull the dent, as you will be going there anyway to fix the paint.
