Irvin Favre died Sunday

Irvin Favre died Sunday of a heart attack or a stroke while he was driving, Mississippi state police said. He was 58.

"It's just a shock to us," Scott Favre, Brett's brother, told the Journal Sentinel Sunday night. "Nobody knows what to think right now."

It is indeed very sad. Irvin was a good man, and he raised his son to be the same. He will definitely be missed by all.

Brett's father was his high school coach. But the HS team had tremendous running backs. So the old man played them. It was by accident that Brett got a scholarship to MSU. People didn't know he could through a ball!
