Go to the gallery, then click on upload photos. There you will be able to upload your pics from your computer and select which category you would like to put them in. Most just use the default Member galleries option.
Also note that pictures are approved by the moderation staff before they are published. We usually check through the list 2-3 times each day, so there can be a slight delay.
