I've gone with people to do this before (and for interests sake - no, I wasn't the potential father...

) .. All of the above activities can be done in a day. It takes a solid chunk of the day, but c'est le vie. As far as the cost reduction from it going from prescription -> OTC, you'd know more about that than me.
What sort of change in cost would you see?

In a far more... "ideal" society, that's exactly what it would be used for.
But, in reality, you put it out as OTC and most of the people who buy it will use it, basically, as a method of birth control. I see no reason why that wouldn't be the case.
