Wil SADDAM Turn STATE's Evidence ?

It's an idea.

He is certainly an Intelligence Asset.

And he doesn't seem to have the stomach for further confrontation --leading to a possible Iraqui trial.

Perhaps would rather trade Intel to the US--in exchange for personal priviledges and comforts.

Probably that's what he was about all along-which is why the US picked him to be Iraq's Leader. Didn't count on his narcissism backfiring.

Don't think certain Leaders--and Companies--are sleeping well right now.

Ha ! Saddam as Snitch !
Might happen, too.

I don't think they need him to crack like they did. But I have no idea what finding 9 and a half miles of secret documents means.....

He can't "turn state's evidence." He has to go before a tribunal and he will probably be sentenced to death for his crimes against the Iraqi people. There is no deal that he can make, no names that he can name, that we don't already know. Anyone that has actually looked at history will know that Saddam was once considered a "friend." He was the actually the lesser of 2 evils. (remember the Ayatolya - I didn't spell that right) Hell, Saddam recieved the key to the city of Detroit in something like 1981.

Anyway, he is going to be held responsible for his crimes. At least we are finishing what we started in Desert Storm.

Well the way is see it, with Saddam not giving a Dosh Garn about anything except his own neck, and Bush calling for the "ultimate penalty" and the US being well-positioned to guide the trial to an Iraqui Tribunal, or an International one, he is under considerable psychological pressure to ..err.."cooperate".

Now let's look at the efecct of this in various foreign capitals, corperative HQ's, covert Gov't bureaus abroad etc.--and you'd think that a lot of Paper Shredders are active these last few days.

This will put fear where fear should be. How do they know he is not "ratting them out" ? ? ?

That's why I think that his capture is a HUGE intelligence coup.
