BestBuy Rebate
I bought my Radeon 9800 Pro, and sent both the rebate for free HL2, and the rebate for $50 back. I sent them both in before the required date, and that was about 3 weeks ago. I have heard nothing back from Bestbuy or anything. I put my e-mail on both reabtes.
was I just screwed?
I sent in for a Maxtor Rebate from Staples, and they sent me an e-amil with a confirmation number and everything. Mind you I sent that in almost 3 months ago, but I still haven't gotten that either. At least they say they are about to send it, and they have aweb site at trackmyrebate.com

Thats why I always ignore rebated prices. They say you will get it but you NEVER will.

Usually Best Buy will take a bit to honor a rebate.
I had a Rebate for a hard drive come in on about six to eight weeks. I gave my email too and they never did email me.

I didn't know where to put this thread since it wasn't a tech problem. Figured in here was fine. Mods can move if they want.
Anyway, I guess I could just wait. But if I remember right, the HL2 rebate was either sent to Valve, or ATI company, and the Radeon rebate was sent to some factory. Neither said best buy on the envelope.

I bought a washer and dryer from best buy once. The rebates took months to come in the mail. Better late than never I guess.

Hmmm, well on the ati website it sasy that they have a hl2 "fullfilment" plan where you BUY hl2 (when it's out) and send them your original recipe, and a copy of the gamebox itself, then they send you the money you payed for it back.
Complicated.
Obviously I sent mine is a while ago. I did include EVERYTHING that was ont rebate list though. I just I should just wait for HL2, and worry about it when the game is actually released.
I'm so relieved that the $50 rebate seems to have gone through though. Wish I would have found that page before posting.
thx
